Women Veterans Rest, Relax, Rejuvenate through Retreats
From the moment you arrive, the pace begins to slow. Our retreat weekends are intentionally small, allowing every participant the space to breathe, rest, and simply be. There are no expectations, no pressure, and nothing to prove—just a welcoming place where women veterans can step away from everyday responsibilities and reconnect with themselves and one another.
Our retreats are intentionally designed without a minute-by-minute itinerary.
Many women veterans have spent years living by schedules, expectations, and deadlines. We believe that healing often begins when those pressures are set aside. Instead of asking you to rush from one activity to the next, we create space for you to listen to what you need in the moment.
Throughout the weekend, we offer gentle opportunities to participate in experiences together. While there is no rigid schedule, we intentionally set aside time for activities such as:
🐴 Optional equine interactions with our program horses
✍️ Guided journaling and personal reflection
🧘 Meditation, mindfulness, or quiet relaxation
🌿 Nature walks and time outdoors
🔥 Evening bonfires and meaningful conversations
☕ Coffee on the porch and unhurried connection
🎣 Seasonal activities such as fishing or exploring the property
💙 Informal time with a licensed mental health professional who generously volunteers during the retreat
Our therapist is simply another caring member of the weekend—not there to provide counseling sessions or clinical treatment, but to be available if someone would like to talk, ask questions, or benefit from a compassionate presence.
Some veterans spend an hour with the horses. Others read a book on the porch, take a walk through the property, or enjoy quiet conversation with a new friend. Every retreat is different because every woman arrives with different needs.
There is no pressure to participate in every activity. This weekend belongs to you.
Our greatest hope is that you leave feeling rested, connected, and cared for.
Meet Our Equine Partner – Luvs Stables
Nestled beside the retreat property, Luvs Stables is where many of the meaningful equine experiences that make our retreats so special take place. As our trusted partner, Luvs Stables provides a peaceful, welcoming environment where veterans can simply be present with the horses—whether that means quietly grooming, sharing a gentle interaction, leading a horse, or enjoying time in the barn.
We believe there is something incredibly healing about slowing down, taking a deep breath, and connecting with these remarkable animals. There is no pressure, no expectations, and no experience required—just an invitation to experience the calm, grounding presence that horses naturally offer.
As Luvs Stables continues to grow, it is being intentionally developed into an accessible and inclusive space that will allow even more veterans to safely enjoy the benefits of equine interaction for years to come.
Your Retreat Begins Before You Reach the Front Door
As you make your way down the tree-lined drive, something begins to change.
The pace slows. The noise of everyday life starts to fade. The gentle sway of the willow trees, the open pastures, and the peaceful countryside invite you to do something we so often forget to do—simply breathe.
Take a deep breath in.
Slowly let it out.
This is your invitation to leave behind the schedules, the responsibilities, and the weight you've been carrying. There is nowhere you need to rush to and nothing you need to accomplish here.
Your weekend of Rest, Relaxation, and Rejuvenation begins the moment you turn into the driveway.
Welcome home.
This picture is AI-generated, but we are refurbishing and this is the look we are headed for.
Slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover the peace that comes from simply being present.
